Current version of database has 67 Indian medicinal plants listed in Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia of India and their substitutes being used in various drug formulations were selected and taxonomically identified. The medicinal plant information includes taxonomic classification, habit, habitat, vernacular names, part used as mentioned in Ayurvedic pharmacopeia of India, description of plants, distribution and its medicinal uses were reported in this database

Database has 89 DNA barcode sequences obtained experimentally from 67 medicinal plants using universal markers such as ITS, matK, rbcL, trnL-trnF and psbA-trnH. Each DNA barcode sequence with specific voucher specimen, latitude, longitude, and GenBank accession is provided with hyperlinks

The untargeted metabolite fingerprinting analysis resulted with an identification of 3033 structurally elucidated compounds from 20 high traded Indian medicinal plants. The compounds superclass, class, identifiers, experimental spectra, plant source and links to other external databases are provided in CDMMM database

Our database provides integrated platform for medicinal plants information, DNA barcodes authenticated using universal markers, metabolite fingerprints of selected medicinal plants identified using mass spectrometry and disease associated therapeutic targets from identified tentative compounds using in silico approach.
